Bree pushed open the door to the cafe and stepped on inside. Glancing around, she was glad to see that Douglas, the guy who she had been avoiding, was nowhere to be seen. Sighing, Bree moved to a booth toward the back. A waitress had stepped over, giving Bree a menu. Bree glanced it over quickly and ordered a club sandwhich with a glass of sprite. The waitress left to place her order with the kitchen. Bree sat there in silence, looking at the wall and all of the intricate designs that made up the wall paper. Her thoughts were on Charlie and what had happened today. She now felt guilty. She hoped he would not get in trouble for that. He shouldn't since it had been well after class, and no one was around.

Charlie walked in and sat down at a table. He pulled out his lesson book to start planning the next weeks lessons. He ordered a coffee and began to take slow sips. He hadn't noticed Bree and probably wouldn't unless she made herself noticed. He stared hard between the lesson book and the text book he had pulled out.

She hadn't noticed him yet either, she was lost in thought. Another thing she had not noticed was Douglas walking in to the cafe. Doug noticed her right off the go and got this goofy lopsided grin as he made his way over. Bree had been snapped back into reality when someone slid into the booth across the table from her and said 'so this is where you have been hiding'. Blonde head turned to see the leering face of Doug. An inward groan as Bree rolled her eyes. "I don't recall inviting you to join me." She had had just about enough of Doug and his constant annoyance. Doug laughed and reached across the table taking her hand. Bree tried to tug her hand away, but it was a futile attempt as Doug had used both of his hands to hold hers. "Let go..." Blue eyes glared at him. Doug just laughed again 'Bree...you really should go to a movie with me. You might actually have some fun.' Bree shook her head and once again tried to tug her hand from his hold. "You have to the count of three to let go of my hand and leave me alone." She had spoken rather loudly, so that everyone in the cafe would notice that something was not right, and would turn to look. "One....." Doug sneered at her, refusing to let go. "Two...." And again she tugged. God...why can't he leave me alone? Doesn't he get the hint..I am not interested. And just as Bree was about to say 'three' Doug leaned across the table and tried to kiss her. With her free hand Bree shoved him back, "Leave me alone!" The shove she gave him was enough to get him to release her hand. Sliding from the booth quickly, Bree was not paying any attention and bumped into someone. All she knew was that she wanted to get away, far away, from Doug.

Charlie had heard the inccident and stood up to grab Bree before she walked away. "Is this guy why you were hiding in my classroom?" He looked at Douglas and didn't think he was a student of his, but he may be. He looked at Bree and waited for an answer.

She jumped startled when professor Eppes grabbed her. She had not been expecting anyone to do that. Hearing his question, Bree nodded as she shot a glare to Doug. "Yeah...he just will not take no for an answer." She felt a little better with Charlie there. Doug had been in Charlie's class the semester before, but had pulled out because he changed his major and the class he needed was with a different instructor. Doug rolled his eyes and muttered about Bree being a tease. Her mouth dropped open in utter angry shock when he said that. "That is a lie and you know it." Bree had never done anything to lead the guy on. She hadn't even said more the two words to him before today. He just saw her walking around campus and came after her like that skunk chasing the poor cat on the Warner Brothers cartoons.

Charlie looked at the guy and said, "Obviosly she's not interested, so leave her alone, okay?" He hated to be mean, but knew it was the only way to help Bree. He looked back at her and smiled.

Doug merely rolled his eyes and started to get out of the booth. As he started to make his way passed Bree he gave her a glare that caused her to shiver. Hugging herself, she watched him walk out of the cafe. She really hated guys like that. Shifting her gaze to the floor for a moment she spoke quietly. "Thank you professor." Her chin was lifted and she smiled to him. She was somewhat embarrassed. Had she known he was there, she would not have made such a scene.

"Anything to help my favorite student, he's lucky he didn't get worse for the attitude he gave me." Charlie smiled back at her and let her go.

A light blush as she tucked strands of blonde hair behind her ears. "What worse could he have gotten?" She was curious.

"I don't know, I'd find something, maybe a suspension, or I'd make him take the advanced version of my class." He chuckled and looked at her, she was very beautiful.

"Ouch...the advanced version. Scares even me." She grinned teasing. "But then with you being the instructor, I am sure I could find a way to pass." Oooh, did she just throw a major flirt line his way?

A raised eye brow. "Oh really?...And why is that?" She turned to face him, pondering what his answer would be.

Her blue eyes just gazed into his dark ones for the moment before she spoke quietly. "Since you are good with numbers....4085556520..." Her right hand reached out, slender digits of hers taking a small portion of his shirt and toying with it.
