AubreeAna was not in her room at the moment. She was in the lounge. But inside her room was like any normal dorm room. There was the single bed, a mini refridgerator, a book shelf, a window, a bathroom, a closet, and a desk with a computer. There was also the light on the ceiling in the center of the room. The room was decorated in pastel colors, mostly blues, pinks, yellows, oranges and greens. The door is always locked when AubreeAna is not inside, and sometimes locked at night when she is inside alone.

Bree had just arrived back to her dorm after her last class. She had turned in her work to professor Eppes earlier in the day. She had done like he asked, and taken the long way around things. She just hoped he could read it. Moving to her bed, she pulled out the edition of Time Magazine that had Charlie on the cover from under her pillow. Sighing softly, Bree let her thoughts trail of when she first saw his picture. She swooned. And when she heard about how brilliant he was, Bree wanted to be taught by him. It was only natural. Bree enjoyed learning, and wanted to know everything she could. And Charlie seemed like the right guy to learn from. He was sweet, gentle, thoughtful, inventive, and he would always go out of his way to help his students understand their assignments. Not many teachers and professors did that. Slipping that magazine back under her pillow, Bree ended up falling asleep in her clothes, her dreams filled with Charlie and other such wonderful fantasies.

The next day.
Bree walked into her dorm room. She felt like she were floating. She had actually just planted one on professor Eppes, and as she was leaving, he had grabbed her and kissed her back. It all felt like a dream. Dropping her bag of books, Bree moved to the bed and flopped down. She was worried to go to sleep. She worried that she would wake and find it had all been a dream.

Deciding that she was hungry, Bree got up from her bed, and headed out of her dorm room. She would go down to that little cafe on campus and get something to eat.

Bree had made it to her dorm room, and after stepping inside, she closed and locked the door. Letting her blue eyes sweep over her dorm room she sighed. The room was small...or atleast smaller then her room back home. But then when you were an only child, you never had to share. Shaking her head, she needed tylenol. Moving to the bathroom, she pulled open the medicine cabinent and reached for the tylenol. As she was reaching her hand stopped in mid air, her blue eyes locked on the bottle of sleeping pills she had. They were prescription. She had gotten them from a doctor when she first started her year at CalSci. She was unable to sleep because of the stress she was feeling. A few days ago she had thought about throwing them away, but she had forgotten to do it. Her hand started to shake as she stared at those pills. Suddenly Bree felt very foolish in being alone at this moment. Ignoring the tylenol, Bree snatched that bottle of sleeping pills from the cabinent, slamming it shut. She moved back out into the main room, her eyes still on the bottle she clutched in her hand. A little voice inside of her told her to take them...all of them....another little voice told her to call for help, that something was wrong. This was not all about the damned dog. There was something more. Bree's mind floated back to something that had happened earlier that day, before she went shopping with Devon. Bree had gotten a phone call from her mother. Bree's father had died that morning of cancer. Bree had asked when a funeral was going to be, and her mother said there wasn't going to be one, they didn't have the money. She said that she had sold her fathers body to a university to study his body for science. It was for 'education' she had said. And then everything else that had happened that day just added up on top of that. She couldn't take it. Tears burned her eyes, spilling out and falling onto the label of the bottle. That little voice demanding she take the pills was getting louder. Bree whispered harshly while clutching the bottle tighter. "No...I won't...you can't make me! Leave me alone!" Finally tearing her gaze away from the bottle, she looked to the door and whimpered, "Help..."

Charlie had chased Bree back to her dorm room and knowcked on the door. 'Come on answer' he thought. He tried to open it, but it was locked. "Bree it's me Chralie, come on talk to me please!" He looked at the door, afraid something had happened to her.

Bree heard the knock, her teary gaze faltering a moment. Then hearing his voice, her feet started to move, slowly, but she headed for the door all the same. Making a circle, Bree unlocked the door, and was moving away before he opened it. Her back was to the door, head bent as she looked back to the bottle. Her body trembled, that damned voice would not shut up.

Charlie walked in and saw the bottle. He grabbed it from her hand and looked at her. "Bree, it's okay, you don't need these, you'll be fine, I promise. I'll protect you."

She didn't even bother fighting when he snatched the bottle from her hand. She was actually glad he had taken them. Because the moment the bottle left her hand the voice had stopped. Sinking down to her knees on the floor Bree heaved a heavy sigh, as if some terribly heavy boulder had been lifted from her chest. Her voice was a choked whisper, "It hurts Charlie....it hurts so bad"

"It'll stop I promise, it'll stop." Charlie bent down and took her in his own arms.

She welcomed the embrace, leaning in close, her hands taking hold of the front of his shirt while she buried her eyes and let everything out. The stress from the day, from every thing that had bothered her. After what seemed like hours, Bree finally quieted down, those tears stopping, hands loosening a bit. She had cried herself to sleep in his arms. Bree had been so exhausted physically, that her body shut down for a while, forcing her to fall asleep. Pretty much like a computer that has had way too much and just shuts itself down to reboot.

Charlie picked her yup and layed down on the bed, making sure the door was locked. He layed next to her and put his arm around her and fell asleep beside her too.

Her sleep was not as peaceful as she would have liked it. But her dreams were her brains way of sorting things out, or dealing with the situations, desperately trying to right itself. While sleeping, fresh tears slippde from her eyes and she frowned lightly. At one point of her dreaming, Bree suddenly felt all alone, abandoned. But when she rolled to her side, she felt the weight of his arm shift, and that feeling of abandonment disappeared. Soon enough she was snuggling closer to him, tucking her head under his chin and nuzzling her nose gently against his neck. She smiled softly when she took in a deep breath. He smelled wonderful, and felt so warm. If Charlie had told her earlier of how he wanted to help her, but didn't know how...she would have told him that at this very moment he was helping her. Just being there, not saying anything and not doing anything was helping. Even though it may not seem like it.

After all of the days excitments, they weren't truly excitments, more like disapoinments, Charli slept peacfully. He could feel Bree snuggle closer to him and he could feel her hair on his chin an his chest. He smiled in his sleep feeling her and tightened his grip around her.

------Two hours later-------
Bree woke slowly, still snuggled close to Charlie. Nuzzling him yet again, she sighed softly. She really did not want to get up yet, she wanted to just stay in bed with him all day, and into the night, but she knew that there was some things that needed to be done. She still had class work to do, and she knew that Charlie had things he had to get done as well. Starting to sit up, she glanced around, biting her bottom lip gently. She felt much better now then she did earlier. She had needed that melt down. She just hoped she would not have another one in the near furture.
