Kisa was on her knees in front of the tombstone of Anubis, slowly and delicately tracing the hieroglyphics of his name. She then reached into her back pocket and took out her wallet, she opened it and pulled out a picture of Horus and Anubis together. She fished about in one of her other pockets and took out a small roll of tape. She then taped the picture of the two dogs onto the tombstone and then stood, petting the rock one last time before she turned and walked over to Don, hugging him tightly and letting out a shaky sigh. She wore one of her nice black shirts and a pair of nice black pants as well as her shiny black low-heels that she usually wore to work. She then buried her face into Don's shirt as she listened to the preacher speak some more....

Don held Kisa quietly as he listened to the service for Anubis. He was glad that a priest could be found on such short notice. But then again...Don had been rather pushy and he told the priest he would find a reason to arrest the man if he did not do as told. Anubis deserved this. He deserved the respect. And Don was damn well going to make sure he got it, one way or another.

Kisa looked up at Don, then looked back at the priest out of the corner of her eye as she rested her head on Don's chest, letting a ragged sigh leave her lips. She looked over at Devon who stood with Colby, Surge wearing his old Army uniform in honor of his fallen friend. Anubis, Horus, and Surge had all been best friends, so of course Surge was going to be there. Horus was laying next to Anubis's tombstone, his nose touching the cold stone as he softly whimpered in the lost of his friend....

Don sighed, glancing around for Charlie. Where the hell was he? Don never knew Charlie to be late for something this important. Bree must be giving more trouble then he thought. Perhaps he should have went back to try and help. The girl looked out of it, and Don did not understand why.

Kisa jumped when Horus gave a mournful howl when the priest paused. Horus was paying his respects to his littermate. Horus's mother died giving birth to him and his siblings, so he and the rest of the litter was placed with Anubis's litter and the tow became fast friends. So it made Kisa shudder to hear Horus make such a mournful sound....

Don gently pulled from Kisa, moving slowly over to Horus. Kneeling down, Don spoke quietly. "Hey buddy...I miss him too. So how about you give another for me." A hand reached out to gently rubb behind the dogs ears. "Go ahead buddy, let it out"

Horus looked at Don like he was an alien. Horus then stood and faced Don, he then placed his paws on Don's shoulders, threw his head back, took a deep breath and then let out an almost ear peircing how, if you looked really close, you could see that tears, actual real tears, were streaming down Horus's cheeks as his mournful song was joined by Surge's own deep howl. Kisa took a few steps towards Don and Horus. She got down on her knees and hugged Horus, burying her face in his black and white fur as the Bordernese continued to allow his mournful song pass through his lips....

Don held the dogs forepaws, and listened. His heart ached for the poor guy. Glancing to Surge he gave a whimsical smile.

After a while, Kisa let go of Horus as he stopped his song. Wriggling his paws out of Don's grip and landed on the ground. Kisa stood and picked Horus up. She then walked back over to where she and Don had been standing, Horus rested his muzzle on Kisa's shoulder as he gave a depressed sigh....

The priest finished his service, and left the mourners there to pay a few last respects. Don walked over and shook his hand, thanking him. He also reassured the man he would not arrest him or even do background check. "Unless it is drawn to my attention that you are doing something you should not be. But for now you are safe. Thank you father." The priest nodded and went on his way. Don slowly made his way back to the spot by Kisa.

Colby had a hand on Surge's neck and looked at him. All he could think was 'what if it had been you boy?' He knew that Surge had been in many deathly situation's, but he also knew that he could get killed at any time. Colby was also wearing his old uniform, that suprisingly still fit. He looked at the tombstone and shook his head.

Don once again looked around for any sign of Charlie or Bree. Sighing he reached a hand up to gently touch the small of Kisa's back. "We should be getting him home..."

Colby knelled down next to Surge and put an arm around his best friend. He layed his head on the dog's soft neck and stared at the tombstone. He bit his bottom lip as the anger rose inside him.

Devon walked over to Kisa and gave Kisa a hug. After the two friends let go of each other, Devon walked over to Anubis's grave, got on her knees and began to pray in Arabic. Kisa sighed and put Horus down. "Are we going to go look at Jake?" Kisa asked curiously as she looked up at Don....

Colby stood up and put Surge's leash on him. He looked at Devon and waited to see what was going to happen next.
